Fully evolved yet vibrant, the 1990 vintage opens with aromas of cassis, cigar box, cedar, and warm earth. The palate is layered and seamless, offering mature dark fruit, graphite, and subtle spice framed by resolved tannins. Winemaking & Vineyard Details
The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot in a supporting role, sourced from old vines planted on well-drained gravel soils. The warm, consistent conditions of the 1990 growing season delivered fruit of excellent ripeness and concentration.
Investment & Collectibility
The 1990 Ducru-Beaucaillou is widely regarded as one of the estate’s benchmark vintages. Its proven aging trajectory and enduring demand on the secondary market make it a compelling option for collectors focused on mature Left Bank Bordeaux.
