TERROIR
The Grand Enclos de Las Cases contains a lot of complexity. Originating mainly from graves of the Quaternary on gravel-sableous and gravelargileous underground, there are also more or less deep and compact clay, sometimes even affluent. The proximity of the Gironde is responsible for this great diversity of soils, created over the course of geological periods by successive superpositions. In addition, the river generates a very specific microclimate that allows for a very early ripening of the grapes and protects the vineyard from frostbite. This combination of geological combinations influences the development of the vineyard and the constitution of the grapes. This unparalleled terroir gives the great wine its unique personality.

MILLESIME 2007
Thanks to a very warm spring, the start of the 2007 cycle was rapid and very early, and the coolness of July greatly reduced the advance gained. The millennium then continued with a cool and rainy month of August. It was followed by an ideally dry and warm month of September, which allowed the grape to complete its ripening in excellent conditions.

Assembly Cabernet Sauvignon 82% Cabernet Franc 10% Merlot 8%

Harvest Date From 24 September to 7 October 2007

Degree: 13.49% vol. - Total Acidity: 3.36 gH2SO4/l - pH: 3.55 - IPT: 71

A strong effort for the vintage, the 2007 Léoville Las Cases offers up aromas of dark fruits, burning embers, cedar box and toasty oak. Medium to full-bodied, with a fleshy mid-palate, powdery tannins and good length on the finish, it displays a sweetness of fruit and completeness that are rare in 2007. Reviewed by: William Kelley, Issue date: August 2022. Drinking window: Drink Date: 2017 - 2035.
