TERROIR
The Grand Enclos de Las Cases contains a lot of complexity. Originating mostly from graves of the Quaternary on gravel-sableous and gravelargileous underground, there are also more or less deep and compact clay, sometimes even affluent. The proximity of the Gironde is responsible for this great diversity of soils, created over the course of geological periods by successive superpositions. In addition, the river generates a very specific microclimate that allows for a very early ripening of the grapes and protects the vineyard from frostbite. This combination of geological combinations influences the development of the vineyard and the constitution of the grapes. This unparalleled terroir gives the great wine its unique personality.
MILLESIME 2017
The millennium 2017 gave us the first wines with a good ripeness and the second wines successful thanks to the attention paid to the young vineyards. The Merlots are rich, the Francs Cabernets are fine and elegant, and the Sauvignons Cabernetts are powerful and structured. The assembly of the Grand Vin expresses notes of ripe fruit associated with a beautiful freshness. The tangic frame, powerful but very silky and elegant, stretches towards a long and complex final.
