2022 Meo Camuzet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru – Structured Burgundy Grand Cru
The 2022 Meo Camuzet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru reflects the domaine’s measured and precise approach to Burgundy. Meo Camuzet is known for producing wines that balance structure with detail, and Clos de Vougeot offers one of the Cote de Nuits’ most historic Grand Cru vineyards. The 2022 vintage captures both ripeness and definition across the site.
Tasting Notes
The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, raspberry, violet, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is layered and composed, offering red and dark fruit supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of earth, crushed stone, and gentle oak influence emerge through a long, structured finish.
Winemaking & Vineyard Details
Sourced from selected parcels within Clos de Vougeot, the wine is produced from Pinot Noir grown on limestone and clay soils. Fermentation is carefully managed to preserve vineyard character, followed by aging in French oak barrels to refine texture and structure. The 2022 growing season provided warm conditions balanced by sufficient freshness.
Investment & Collectibility
Meo Camuzet remains a respected name in Burgundy, with limited production and consistent demand among collectors. Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru wines are valued for their aging potential, and the 2022 vintage offers both early balance and long-term development.
Vintage Insights & Accolades
