Provenance & Masters Behind the Bottle

Tenuta San Guido was founded by Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, a man with a vision to bring Bordeaux-style blends to Italy. This audacious move led to the birth of Super Tuscans, a groundbreaking category in Italian viticulture. The current proprietor is Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta, Mario’s son, who has diligently upheld the estate's high standards. The winemaking artistry is led by Sebastiano Rosa, who masterfully combines tradition and innovation to produce wines with complex character and depth.

Vineyard & Craftsmanship

Nestled along the Tuscan coastline, Tenuta San Guido’s vineyards offer a unique terroir that significantly contributes to the wine's characteristic flavors. The estate's vineyards are home to vines aging 10-50 years, with a calculated balance of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The soil features a unique blend of limestone and clay, providing excellent drainage and contributing to the wines' structure and longevity. The estate produces limited quantities each year, adding an air of exclusivity to these sought-after bottles.

Aging & Investment Value

Tenuta San Guido wines are revered for their aging potential. With balanced tannins and a sturdy structure, they provide excellent investment value. As time progresses, these wines only improve, becoming increasingly complex, thus commanding higher market values.
