The 2015 Sine Qua Non Le Chemin Vers L'Heresie Grenache is a rare, avant-garde expression from one of California’s most visionary producers. This 2015 Grenache embodies the estate’s bold style and dedication to pushing the boundaries of Rhône varietals in California.
Tasting Notes
Rich, perfumed aromas of black raspberry, kirsch, and violets unfold with layers of spice box, licorice root, and smoked meat. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and opulent, offering flavors of dark cherry, cocoa powder, and garrigue, supported by polished tannins. A long, resonant finish with notes of mineral and floral lift speaks to its profound balance and complexity.
Winemaking & Vineyard Details
Crafted predominantly from Grenache, with small portions of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Petite Sirah, the 2015 Le Chemin Vers L'Hérésie was aged for around 22 months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels. Fruit was sourced from top sites across California’s Central Coast, including Eleven Confessions Vineyard, emphasizing terroir expression and meticulous farming practices.
Investment & Collectibility
Sine Qua Non’s wines are produced in tiny quantities and allocated to a highly restricted mailing list, making them nearly impossible to obtain at release. The 2015 Le Chemin Vers L'Hérésie is one of the most acclaimed vintages, commanding attention on the secondary market and prized by collectors of California cult wines. Perfect for your collection.
Vintage Specifics & Accolades
The 2015 vintage in California was marked by lower yields, resulting in wines of concentration and intensity. Le Chemin Vers L'Hérésie is among the highlights of the year, praised for its power, freshness, and long-term aging potential.
