Sourced from top vineyards in the Douro Valley, the wine combines concentration with precision.
Tasting Notes
The nose reveals aromas of blackberry, cassis, violet, and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is dense and structured, offering layers of black fruit supported by firm tannins and balanced sweetness. Notes of spice, licorice, and mineral tones emerge through a long, persistent finish that continues to develop with age.
Winemaking & Vineyard Details
Produced from traditional Douro varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, the wine is sourced from Taylor Fladgate’s estate vineyards. Fermentation is halted with grape spirit to retain natural sugar, followed by aging in large oak vats before bottling. The 2007 growing season provided optimal conditions for concentration and balance.

The 2007 vintage is considered one of the strongest Port declarations of the modern era. Taylor Fladgate’s release is particularly noted for its structure and longevity, making it a reliable choice for collectors focused on long-term cellaring.
