Winemaking & Vineyard Details
Located on Pauillac’s southern border, the estate’s vineyards span deep gravel soils over limestone and clay, producing Cabernet Sauvignon of great aromatic intensity. The 2022 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot adding suppleness and aromatic lift. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled vats, followed by aging in French oak barrels—most of which were new—to achieve a harmonious balance of fruit and oak.
Investment & Collectibility
With a long track record of high critical acclaim and strong performance on the secondary market, Pichon Comtesse is a cornerstone of Bordeaux collecting. The 2022 vintage, shaped by a warm, dry growing season, promises both early approachability and long-term cellaring potential. Perfect for your collection.
