The 2015 Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf reflects the distinctive style of this small Saint Emilion estate under the direction of the Mitjavile family. Known for low yields and meticulous vineyard work, the property produces wines that emphasize texture, ripeness, and depth. The 2015 vintage captures the warmth of the growing season while maintaining structural balance.
Tasting Notes
The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, plum, cocoa, and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is layered and expansive, offering concentrated dark fruit supported by polished tannins and balanced acidity. Notes of licorice, spice, and mineral tones develop through a long, supple finish marked by richness and precision.
Winemaking & Vineyard Details
The blend is primarily Merlot with Cabernet Franc grown on clay and limestone soils overlooking Saint Emilion. Vineyard management focuses on low yields to enhance concentration, while fermentation in small vats preserves parcel character. Aging in French oak barrels integrates texture and structure. The warm and dry 2015 growing season delivered ripe fruit with notable depth.
