The 2010 vintage captures the estate’s singular identity with exceptional clarity.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet reveals layered aromas of black cherry, graphite, violet, and crushed stone. On the palate, the wine is concentrated yet remarkably precise, delivering dark fruit framed by fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Notes of cedar, mineral tones, and subtle spice unfold gradually through a long, tightly woven finish that continues to gain complexity with air.
Winemaking & Vineyard Details
The blend is driven by Cabernet Franc and Merlot sourced from old vines planted on a mosaic of gravel and clay soils. Careful parcel selection and low yields contribute to the wine’s depth and precision. Fermentation is conducted with minimal intervention before aging in French oak barrels to preserve site expression and structural balance.
Investment & Collectibility
Chateau Lafleur remains one of the rarest and most tightly allocated wines in Bordeaux. The 2010 vintage has earned exceptional critical acclaim and continues to command strong demand among collectors seeking benchmark Right Bank wines with proven aging potential.
