WINEMAKER NOTES
2013 Harlan Estate – Napa Valley Cult Cabernet
The 2013 Harlan Estate stands among the defining wines of Napa Valley’s celebrated 2013 vintage. Produced from the estate’s hillside vineyards overlooking Oakville, Harlan Estate has built its reputation on meticulous viticulture, low yields, and wines capable of evolving for decades. The 2013 release captures remarkable concentration while maintaining precision and structural balance.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet reveals layered aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, graphite, cedar, and crushed violets. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet composed, delivering dense dark fruit framed by refined tannins and vibrant acidity. Mineral tones and subtle cocoa notes emerge through a long, tightly structured finish that continues to unfold with air.
Winemaking & Vineyard Details
The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon with supporting Bordeaux varietals sourced from carefully farmed hillside parcels. Fermentation occurs in small lots to preserve vineyard expression, followed by aging in French oak barrels to refine texture and aromatic depth. The warm and dry 2013 growing season provided ideal conditions for concentrated, balanced fruit.
Investment & Collectibility
